Afternoon all, Hopefully somebody can help with a situation where I am frustratingly stuck!
Today I received my latest email from ON BUSINESS informing me that the website/systems continue to be down with assurance that any points due to expire at year end will now be extended to June 2024. Reassuring one might think….
I just called BA to ask how many of my total points balance fall into this “use or lose” by June 24 bucket to which I was informed that they cannot tell me!
When asking how I might find out, I was advised that until the systems are operational again, it is not possible to be informed of this. By “systems”, the operator confirmed this to mean the same systems as have been down for 7 MONTHS and for which they have no forecast recovery date. Wow!
Having explained to him that this is not really acceptable to me as I need to know sooner rather than later how many points are at risk (articulating that if I need to burn a lot of points I need to start booking NOW if I am to get the flights I can realistically use) he started to get a little shirty.
I asked (pleasantly) if I could raise a complaint as this technology situation is not really fair or acceptable and he directed me to the standard “BA complaints web pages”.
So now starts the next problem – where to complain?
I see categories for many things (BAEC included) but nothing related to either “other” or BA ON BUSINESS specifically.
Anyone got any clues please? I cant be the only frustrated BAOB member out there.
Thanks in advance
Cheers
Dean
Well you can complain to BA, but I’m not sure what it will achieve as they are obviously rather aware of the issue, so you risk being like Violet Elizabeth Bott, threatening to “scream and scream till I’m sick”.
I received the same email and it clearly shows how many points I currently have. If you have read properly this email and many other emails before, you would have known that any points and that literaly means any points you had at the start of these issues will not expire until June 2024.
