Forums Frequent flyer programs British Airways Executive Club Oneworld lounge on arrival

  • yonasl 1,062 posts

    Hello,

Will be flying with IB business class to Bogota. I will then take an internal flight with, most certainly, Avianca.

As there are no Oneworld airlines anymore in South America. What are the chances of being allowed into the lounge there (either as I came in business or because of BA silver status)?

(Looking at the t&c I do not think this is posible but as they don’t have an arrival lounge maybe people have experienced being let in for a shower and quick snack in between planes)

    Thank you!

Iberia has a partnership with Avianca – https://www.iberia.com/gb/our-alliances/codeshare/ – so they may be a chance.

Indeed, Iberia has codeshares with Avianca and Latam. So you can book a flight to a small city in Colombia and you will use Iberia to Bogota and Latam or Avianca for the internal flight(s).

But I would like to already book my LON-BOG and deal with the internal flights later. That doesn’t seem to be posible from Iberia’s website.

Do you understand this differently Rob?

Priority Pass gives you access to Avianca lounges. Avianca also sells access to its lounges, it’s something like GBP 25 or 27 for one of the domestic lounges in Colombia. Of course, a *G would also do the trick.
