I recently cancelled my Amex Platinum after receiving the 60,000 bonus points during the last promotion. I had a supplementary card for the wife too. Now, with the 100,000 point promotion, would it work if she applied for the card and I had the supplementary one. I obviously cannot now reapply of course, and wondered if this was a way to take advantage of the promotion to subsequently transfer to Avios. Help much appreciated.
Yes, as long as she hadn’t held a MR points earning card in the last 2 years. Supplementary cards don’t count.

The SUB eligibility terms are different to the above on a referral – check the pop up box when applying.
Also worth noting, do not apply for a supplemental card with her application. If you do it after she receives the card there is an offer for an additional 5,000 MR points for the first supplemental application.
