Forums Frequent flyer programs Virgin Flying Club Physical Virgin Flying Club card?

I am flying Singapore Airlines from Singapore to Melbourne and as a VS Goldie I should get access to the lounge but read that I would need to show my VSFC gold card. Is there such a thing? If so how do I get it? Don’t fancy 90 mins on the phone if there is a shortcut.

Try calling the gold line, I believe the wait time is only 10 minutes 0800 0721234

I’m due to fly Air France from CDG to LHR soon, do I need to show a physical Virgin Gold card for lounge access or will my FC number in the reservation be sufficient?

It SHOULD be enough but always a risk with non-alliance partners. Isn’t there a virtual card in the app?

There is – but it’s not as official looking as the BA virtual card.

I was turned away in CDG last year.

Just spoke to FlyingClub who answered the Gold line in seconds – they no longer send out physical cards. So not sure where that leaves us for partner lounge access.

I too spoke to them on twitter today and they said the same. I can print off a paper one from the web site but it looks like something any 14 year old could photoshop in 20 mins – hardly professional. The one on the app is of a similar vein and I was turned away by Air France offering that in October.

Agreed – at least the BA app one looks reasonably professional. They assured me that if my FC number is in my AF booking I will be accepted to the lounge. I’ll report back but I’m sure I’ll end up in whatever Priority Pass lounge CDG has to offer.

I’ve never had an issue with any of the JV lounges (AF/KL/DL), so long as my VS number is on the PNR. Official or not official, you’re entitled to use partner lounges (assuming no exceptions). The only time I ever had a lounge issue, at AMS, a swift DM on Twitter and the issue was resolved.
