Forums Payment cards American Express Platinum Dining Credit use in Paris

Thought I submitted this already so apologies if double post… can’t seem to see it anywhere.

My girlfriend and I are headed to Paris in May, staying at the Waldorf Astoria Versailles for three nights and want to use our platinum dining credit whilst there.

Can anybody recommend a restaurant on the enormous list which has great food and ideally nice views/atmosphere too. We are big foodies so food def the preference over wine although that is important too!

Any other Versailles/Paris reccs appreciated too!

I always thought it was such a pleasure for me to go thru the massive list one by one, and check the restaurants and their menus, location, prices for a great experience. I’d suggest the same.
I’d have suggestions, but I’d also have anti-suggestions/don’t buys for the Platinum list for Paris which I believe is even more important.

i’m with Managemybooking… i need some recommendations too

and I appreciate @can2 sentiment, but there are 168 (approx) options and having people narrow it down (either good or bad) would be highly helpful

I can recommend La Coupole which is on the list. Beautiful looking art-deco restaurant with great food. Had a really nice meal there. We went to the Jules Verne restaurant in the Eiffel tower as well which now has two Michelin stars and were underwhelmed by that, had a better meal at La Coupole

I can recommend La Coupole which is on the list. Beautiful art-deco decor and lovely food made for a great experience. We also went to the Jules Verne restaurant in the Eiffel Tower which now has 2 Michelin stars and were disappointed by it, La Coupole was the better meal.

Other places I’d recommend which aren’t on the list but are worth visiting – Le Barav which is a small wine bar with big selection of wine and gorgeous cheese and charcuterie, highly recommend going there for lunch and sitting outside in the sun drinking wine and eating cheese. Also try Josephine chez Dumonet which is a very small, traditional bistro doing classic french food very well. Best beef Bourguignon I’ve ever had and you have to try the souffle pudding which comes with a shot of Grand Marnier to pour on top
