I’m still comfortably in my early 60’s but husband will be 70 at the end of this year. At the moment we’re both covered for global travel through my Amex Plat but when he turns 70 he won’t be, any ideas or tips on what he/we should do for next year? We’re planning a South American trip early next year (not USA!) and need to have something in place.
Also I’d rather not give up on Amex, I’ve been a member since 1983 so it’d be hard…
Thanks!
As you know, if you have pre-existing conditions, they won’t be covered.
If you get a Nationwide Flexplus account, this includes Worldwide travel Insurance through Aviva, and you can pay to get cover for pre-existing conditions e.g. high blood pressure, raised cholesterol or something more serious. Never hurts to get better cover as you get older.
