I have a BAPP card at the moment, and haven’t held a MR card ever.
My brothers referral link is boosted to 60k points right now. If I apply, would I still get those 60k points as an existing BAPP holder – but a “new” MR holder?
Or is there a likelihood for a Platinum bonus coming soon?

Yes – you are eligible for the Amex Plat sign-up bonus if you haven’t held an Amex MR point earning card in the last 2 years.
I don’t know the likelihood of any other Plat bonus in the near future but 60k seems like a relatively high SUB to me!

The referror (your friend) receives the referral bonus when you successfully apply for a card using the link they provide. They will receive this bonus as long as they haven’t already received 90k MRs via the referral route in the current year.
As the referree(the recipient of the referral), you may be eligible for a separate sign-up bonus if you hit a set spend target (usually in a 3 month period from receiving the card).
