Hi All – any advice on the easiest and the cheapest points run over the weekend by Sept 8th? Or an advice on an effective search. Thank you

Easy would be staying in the UK. Cheapest would probably be Dublin.

You need a one way Club Europe fare and could fly back using Avios or in a cheap economy ticket.

Sadly Speedbird is down and possibly out so you’ll need to spend a bit of time looking at the BA low fare finder to get ideas. If it were me I’d try and pick somewhere I fancied going and make a weekend of it.

Actually might be cheaper to do the Dublin trip in the other direction ie buy an avios flight to Dublin and then a one way xash fare DUb to Lon in CE

I get 40 points one way (x2 = 80 with the return) going GLA – LON each week. Prices are wild at the moment. Some peaks are around £400 one way in economy, others can be low as £70 economy with a £70 quid upgrade offer in MMB.

You get full tier points for a paid upgrade. Bit of a gamble holding out for a good rate, but more often that not they come through. Don’t bite on the offer cost when you first book. Hold off a few days then up to day of flight. Price will fluctuate.

There’s bound to be some domestic routes that can do the trick, but I’d look at a quick and easy LCY-DUB return fare at the start of September.

Have you had a look at the Low Fare Finder tool on ba.com? It shows at a glance the cheapest routes and dates.

Google flights can filter Oneworld, one way business flights to all of europe/UK. You can keep changing the date … thn return economy or with Avios.
