We are looking to book 4 return flights to the USA for next summer. We have 2 x 241 Amex vouchers that we’ll be using. There is a possibility that my 16yo daughter won’t be able to come (long story). My question is that if we book for all 4 of us and then cancel her seat, would we get half the Avios back (as now one person using a voucher therefore 50 % Avios). I know there would be an admin fee too – is this still £25? Many thanks in advance
You can call BA and have her taken off the booking, up to 24 hours before departure. You should get the cash element refunded minus the fee, which is currently £35, however I don’t know if they would convert it to a 50% off booking. You might have to cancel and rebook for that, so availability might be an issue.
