I recently grabbed a good value UC redemption but having acted in hast I would now like to change the destination. Is it possible to amend the destination without having to cancel and wait (how long?) for the return of points? Both destinations cost the same miles and taxes. Thank you.
Not sure about how straightforward it is to change a destination as (apposed to just the date) on a reward booking, but if you’re concerned about a delay in the points refund I would suggest calling up the helpline. I’ve not done it in a while but you used to be able to hold a reward booking for 48 hours while waiting for a points transfer or purchase to come through, so they may be amenable to doing it in your case.
Its a cancel and rebook but should be possible in one phone call including refund of points
You will (should) be charged £70 fee and if your new booking is cheaper you will still be charged £70 quickly and in my experience wait months for any cash to be returned
I need to get back to bed. I saw Reebok a few times.
I did this a couple of months ago by phone, it was very straightforward. Points were returned more or less immediately (though I had enough to make the new booking anyway) and taxes took a couple of weeks, so you will have to pay the new cash element separately.
