Hi all
Got a mission on my hands and looking for best advice.
Three of us have individually booked CW return tickets to BOM and we now need to change the dates and the itinerary … we need an open jaw return rather than a standard return.
Reward seats are available at time of writing that meet our needs but we don’t want to risk them being snapped up.
The individual tickets have all been booked in different ways and are under different names and accounts … fun times! 😝
Ticket 1: Straight Avios payment
Ticket 2: BA 241 voucher
Ticket 3: Barclaycard upgrade
I can’t see options to do an open jaw booking online to take care of ticket 1 and 2. Are there ways to handle this online or will we need to ring the contact centre?
I’m not sure what happens with the Barclaycard voucher booking. I can see Economy and Premium economy seats available on the outbound and we will take Premium BUT on the return, we would like to come back in CW. I can see CW only and wondering if it still possible to use the upgrade voucher here … there is no Premium reward available to upgrade from if that makes sense? Also, for this ticket I imagine a phone call to BA will definitely be the only way to get the ticket changed.
Appreciate all your help on this rather complicated situation!
This is going to require a phone call
And if you are going to do this for your friends they are going to have to make you nominees on their BAEC accounts – unless they have already done that. Or then can phone themselves.

You only need reward availability in the cabin you would like to upgrade to (not from). According to reports, mix class redemption is also possible with a Barclaycard voucher.
Thanks both!
Sorted out last night. Took 7 attempted calls and at least 6 hours all told! … used Skype to call the US contact centre but was problematic! – being on hold, starting a chat and then calls being dropped.
Finally got through to a great agent and we got all three tickets amended. Mixing classes with Barclaycard was no issue. The agent was quite a happy chap at the end of the call – he loved the challenge as he put it!
