Hello all. I booked a flight with United to make use of the £300 cashback offer and have received the email this morning saying the offer has been redeemed.
I had to cancel the flight last night after booking so the charge will be refunded. If I book another flight in the coming days, will the cashback offer automatically apply to the new booking, or will I need to speak to Amex to get the offer reapplied? Thanks!
My experience is that the offer will re-trigger again if you make another transaction that qualifies etc yes.
The offer terms say “valid once per card” – may be worth you checking with Amex on live chat and saving a screenshot of the answer the give you (not that it will necessarily be correct!)
I’ve had a few Hertz car rental statement credit offers re-apply automatically after cancelling and rebooking.
I confirmed with Amex (Brighton) that this is usually the case, but to contact them if it doesn’t reapply after 90 days.
Hertz and United are not the same company obviously, but I expect the statement credit reapplication principle is the same.
