Using LHR to LAS as an example…
When searching on the VA website for reward flights, it presents several options including direct and with connections.
When searching in the opposite direction, it only ever shows direct flights.
Any reason for this? Sometimes the flight with connection is considerably cheaper points wise than the direct flight. It might be nice to have the same options in reverse.
Just my observations, but I’ve found indirect, e.g. ATL-JFK-MAN, GCM-ATL-MAN though I’ve only ever seen much higher points prices on these.
From experience of trying to book GCM-ATL-MAN, the short-haul award sectors get booked up very fast, presumably by Americans avoiding DL’s spendy cash fares.
