Forums Frequent flyer programs British Airways Executive Club Reward Flights with Companion Voucher – LHR to HND

    Hi,

We are looking to use a companion voucher on a return to Tokyo in April 2026. Likely be 14 days between the outbound and inbound flights and wanting CW cabin. Bit of a novice at this but can see this route books VERY fast with seemingly no reward seats between now and the furthest bookable dates in Jan next year.

Whats the best way to secure a return rewards flight for 2 pax using the companion voucher? Waiting until the inbound is available and hope the outbound are still available seems like an absolute non-starter on this route!

Any advice from those in the know would be massively appreciated.

    TIA

There are literally dozens of threads on the use of 2-4-1s even just for Japan as well as a very recent refresh of an article on the same subject so have a look for those.

You’ll need to be extremely well-prepared as April will be cherry blossom season and also Easter/spring school holidays for travel from Europe/USA.

As noted, there are many, many articles and threads on this site to help you hone your strategy.

You can also use the voucher on Madrid-Tokyo route with Iberia. It will be much longer for sure, but it’s usually easier to score and seats will open up at 360 days rather than the standard 355 days before the flight (though you may have to call BA for that).
