Say I have a MAD-LAX-MAD flight via LHR booked with BA. If for any reason I leave the airport at LHR on the return, could I get in trouble? (not with customs but BA in the sense of higher fees, no Avios/TPs, etc.) (I do not need luggage on this trip but would prefer to remain in London on the way back). Thanks!
From what I read online, you should be fine unless you do it very often – then they may come after you (I think I read about Lufthansa doing that, not sure about BA). Doing it once should be ok though.
