Anybody using any of the above esim packages ?
They don’t seem to be particularly attractive price wise, compared to numerous other offerings on the market, apart from a few Avios, and 180 day validity. And I haven’t checked who the operator is.

No, I always get more data for less money. No idea what IAG are thinking by coming in with a poorly marketed uncompetitive offer and expecting people to bite.

If linked to inflight WiFi and branded properly, they could make a mint on last minute purchases…

Totally agree…I’ve got 10 esims on my phone and depending on where I’m off to,and how long, I just select the best data value. (And I’m always getting special offer emails from them all. ) For what it’s worth, my wife’s on 3, and uses her UK contract data in the US and Europe, no extra charges.

I’ve seen them advertising on instagram, forwarded to the h4p instagram.

They are all massively overpriced the only advantage is the 180 day roaming period, that increases the chances of using the eSIM over 2 holidays instead of 1. That’s rarely going to work for me personally due to the regions

I’ve downloaded one for my summer holidays – it’s worth it for me as I’m going to be away for just over 30 days, and there’s a bonus on the Avios for the 10GB package.

    I’ll report back!

I’ve downloaded one for my USA holiday – I’m going to be away for just over 17 days, and got a bonus on the Avios for the 10GB package, ended up with 1,200 Avios, package cost £23. First time buying an eSim as will need it for google maps as it is a road trip. I’ll get back to you when I found out how good (or bad) it was.

Terrible value and absolutely no benefit to using them.

I suspect the target market are people who only learn about products of this type from the BA marketing and consider that as it involves modest spend and it’s still vastly cheaper than using data roaming from their existing service provider it’s therefore worth trying. And it earns a slug of Avios as a rebate.

I’m blessed with Virgin Mobile having transferred to O2 who are generous in offering free roaming in EU countries subject to fair use limits based on both data quantity and length of stay.

You will be surprised how few GB you need when on holiday (or at home) . Make sure you download offline maps for Google Maps and then the data usage is minimal/none. WiFi is everywhere.

Clearly I don’t holiday where you do.

Clearly I do different things on holiday 😉 Seriously, for most a few GB is all you need for a holiday (download your Netflix/Iplayer needs beforehand). Email/surfing/social is minimal data, as are maps. Get a package where you can tether.

Three is quite often your friend – sign up for a month (not sure if they do esim).

Yes you can get a Three payg esim, but it’s slightly weird. You have to get and activate a physical sim first, then convert it to an esim. A Three shop can do it for you fairly easily, but it’s still the same indirect process.
