Forums Hotel loyalty schemes Radisson Rewards Romantic night in London – recommendations

We are looking at a night in London in February after attending an event around Green Park. Are they any particular recommendations for Radisson hotels? I would be paying cash and have VIP status. Our default is to be towards the bottom end of the price range (so not the May Fair) but happy to pay a little more if it is worth it. Thanks in advance.

Have you considered art’otel London Battersea Power Station?

@Richie, it’s a heck of a schlep to Battersea from Green Park.

is heading to a pricey part of town if a romance on a budget is a requirement. Personally, I’d head the other way and look for something in Soho, where prices can be more reasonable than Mayfair or St James’s. That would open up the possibility of a post-event nightcap in a great choice of watering holes.

It’s not a Radisson and it might be out of budget, but Hazlitt’s on Frith Street might tick the romantic box. It’s a world away from the corporate sterility of hotels aimed primarily at business travellers.

Could consider PP Westminster Bridge? The river views are great (the terraces even better but might be out of your budget). Haven’t stayed there in some time though. Would be a very scenic walk to Green Park.

Karma Sanctum Soho – central location, rooftop bar, individualised rooms.

Park Plaza London Riverbank was lovely. Very top level detail and service and price was too the ‘affordable’ end.

Used to stay at Radissons all the time in London back when they were the best value Amex transfer for hotels (remember those days?!).
Park plazas at London Riverbank (can be a decent price) and Westminster Bridge (very modern and good views in the right room) or the smaller Radisson at Seven Dials were all good and would do the job nicely depending on what’s good value and where you want to be. I’d avoid the Mayfair; it’s more than a bit tired.

Not friends with Radisson any more since devaluation despite having the top status like everyone here now. Would stay in one rather than shoot myself in the foot with travel plans or costs but definitely don’t actively choose them, so all my opinions are at least a couple of years old.
