Royal Jordanian Avios + taxes anomoly

Hi

Looking to Book an AVIOS flight MAD-CAI in the next week or so.

No availability on BA\IB or if there is it’s 19K + £101

If I search on AAdvantage I can see availability and it’s 20K +£36!

I do not want to use AAdvantage miles (getting low), so how do I get to use the AVIOS miles but with the lower taxes?

Could I book direct on the Royal Jordanian site??

AA Advantage does not have surcharges even when the partner airline’s own programme does. So no chance or you can find another OW programme without surcharges. Qatar Airways? You can transfer Avios from BA.
