I had a gold rewards card and an ARCC card. Upgraded the gold to platinum rewards card for upgrade bonus of 90k and then retention bonus of 35k. Have since cancelled the platinum but now being offered upgrade o the ARCC card to platinum for 75k for 10k spend. Have a few large bills coming up in next 2 months so can reach spend and tempted to do it. I wont keep the platinum and will downgrade back to ARCC after. What are the chances Amex will shut me down if I proceed?

Are you sure you’re entitled to the bonus so soon after cancelling the first platinum?
I believe so as its an upgrade bonus offer valid until sometime in May and not a SUB.
I would just double check the small print. I had an email invite for the same offer and was making plans to upgrade when I noticed it said that you won’t be eligible for the bonus if you’ve received an upgrade bonus before. It was buried in the terms and conditions in the footer of the email.
