Hi,
New to this and looking for some advice (Hopefully a nice easy one to start with)
Currently on 490 Tier Points (In Bronze) and need 110 to get Silver
Tier point collection date expires on the 08/12/23
On the 30/11/23 I am flying Prem Econ to Dubai as part of a BA holiday (Flight + Hotel)
Is there a way of seeing if this will give me the 110 Tier Points required to gain silver?
The return flight is after the 8th so I assume this will give a boost to next year?
Thanks in advance and great community
J
Assuming you’re just LHR-DBX, a PE ticket will earn 90 TP’s

Although if your BAH qualifies for the double TP offer then you should get 2×90 posting into your collection year ending 8/12
Do you know how I check it its double TP offer?

Departing from UK, flight and hotel , or flight and car booked through BA as a package at the same time
Minimum 5 nights hotel (or car) between the outbound and inbound flights.

As long as you booked the hotel and flights at the same time and you have an ATOL certificate it will qualify for the BAH double TP offer.
If you booked the flights and then separately added a hotel that will not qualify.
I think the only thing you can do is wait until you are back from holiday and see if you get double TP. They should post on the same date as the outbound although mine didn’t, not that it bothered me as I am in the middle of my TP year.
If they post to your account after the year end reset you can ask BAEC to retrospectively post them to your old year.
In any case you can apply to have any TP from flights taken in the first 2 weeks after your TP year end to be applied to your old year if doing so would promote you to the next year.
Another thing is to be wary in your new year and not to rely on double TP posting to your new year when they were earned on a qualifying holiday booking in your old year. There are a number of posts on the dedicated thread over on FT where people relying on the TP to retain status find that BAEC retrospectively adjust the TP postings and deny retention of status upgrade.
Thats great – thanks for taking the time to respond
