Forums Frequent flyer programs Virgin Flying Club Singapore Airlines redemption

  • 124 posts

Just called Customer Service to try and book Man-Sing in November, to be told that the agreements ends April 23rd, which I knew, and that flights had to be before that date. Asked if they were sure. Put on hold for a while, to be then told the same thing.

    Is this correct?

    Yes suspect so sadly.

Is it a redemption? Good news. You can book by 23rd April for a later date, although you won’t be able to make any changes except for cancellations.

Someone is wrong then… the question is who?!

VS website is non specific, however I would be surprised if HfP has given incorrect info – and not updated.

I am looking to book a few SQ flights when we return home next week, so would be interested to know as well…at the moment, for OP I guess it’s HUCA and keep us advised (assuming it is a points booking!)

It was ambiguous when the press release came out initially whether you can book before 23rd April for a flight departing after the termination date. But they have subsequently updated their FAQs on their website to make it clear that you cannot.

I have a Singapore Airlines flight departing after 23rd April 2025 with my Virgin
    Points, is this still valid?

Yep – you’re still good to go. And you can still use Virgin Points to book new
Award tickets if the departure date is on or before 23rd April 2025.
