Given that Virgin will be joining the Skyteam next month, would it be possible to use companion vouchers with their SkyTeam partners?
Seems very unlikely / impossible to me – see how long it took for BA ones to be usable on Iberia and Aer Lingus and that’s the same company.

And also adding IB/EI was probably in response to pressure from Amex unhappy with BA/IAG’s new Barclaycard bonanza.

I wish you could extend the vouchers, 24 months isnt long enough. Hundreds must go to waste.
Every alliance has carve outs to its rules.
It’s why AF can restrict reward access to La Premiere or BA can offer extra avios availability to Golds on its own flights and AA can offer additional rewards to their own AAdvantage members.
There seems to be a carve out that the VS LHR clubhouse wont be designated a ST lounge.
