Forums Hotel loyalty schemes Accor Live Limitless Sofitel Terminal 5 – Club lounge offering?

  • 64 posts

Hi, have looked on FT and searched the HfP forums but couldn’t see anything on this. What is the latest offering in the Sofitel T5 club lounge at the moment? We are staying next week, and from recollection earlier in the year happy hour was moved to one of the bars so any recent experience of what it is currently like would be appreciated. Thanks

It’s back in the lounge. Rather uninspiring to be honest just nibbles/salad/cheese and an opportunity to grab a few free drinks.

At the Sofitel as I type , people do use the lounge to eat their evening “meal” and it will save serious cash against paying for food in the restaurant but don’t expect much.

Say hi to Elvis if you see him serving in the lounge. Top man who has a personal aim to get you sloshed in double quick time, always worth a fiver tip if you’re a fast/big drinker……

I missed you @Roberto! I was there last night!

I resisted the attempt by the receptionist to try and upsell lounge access (in favour of an M&S meal deal) just as I resisted the pre stay upgrade offer because as I was leaving at 5am I wouldn’t have got breakfast so the value proposition for me isn’t there.

For @ecugkq30 I don’t know if Robs January 2023 is recent enough for you or if it reflects the current situation?

I was back there in March (didn’t bother reviewing it again) and it was the same as in January for breakfast. Wasn’t there in time for the evening stuff.

I can’t say I’ve ever bothered with the lounge. In the evening, we start our holiday as we intend to continue by eating in the excellent La Belle Époque restaurant. In the morning, we have breakfast in an airport lounge or on the aircraft.

For those reasons, I haven’t used the lounge even when I’ve had a free upgrade to a club room.

THanks all, I saw the Jan article which was what prompted the question. Sounds like normal service has been resumed, although if the lounge is as busy as the last time we stayed (i.e. no seats at all!) I will grab some beers and take them back to the room again
