Booking a flight yesterday and in discussing forthcoming changes was told:
Operators had not yet been given specifics on points required for most flights
Operators had been given some guidelines ie max price for a New York flight would be 350,000 points – stressed that this would only be if it was the last Upper seat available on the plane.
Sounds similar to what I was told last week so. Glad I generated this year’s voucher and applied it speculatively. It seems preferable to apply it to a trip one wants while still possible rather than the long FOS fight which is uncertain of success.
Why stop at 350k? Might as well extract 400k or 500k!
The only number that matters is the cost for the first few seats available when booking opens up.
So, it’s tripling in points, genius by Virgin
Except, unless you are super rich you wouldn’t buy over the 115k current peak price
