Status and match questions

I now have the highest status in ITA’s scheme as well as SAS. Can I do anything with this ie a match to boost my Virgin status to silver or gold, or any other airlines or hotel schemes? The statuses on their own are a bit useless. I know the ITA status may help but when Lufthansa take over but I’m not entirely sure of the potential benefits of that either if anyone can explain! And does the SAS status help

ITA status is SkyTeam at the moment, so may be recognised by Virgin directly at the moment.

In due course SAS will become SkyTeam.

Did anyone else apply for ITA status match? My application was submitted on 17th July not had a decision yet.
