I don’t want to pay for a Virgin Atlantic credit card anymore so I understand I need to apply not downgrade for the free card.
I clicked the link in the article on here. It does an eligibility check then shows me the cards, I click on the free card and it takes me to the eligibility check again!
I can’t ****ing apply!
This really is the worst credit card ever but I want to earn Virgin points when I am somewhere that doesn’t take Amex. AGH!!!!!!!
I think this is probably a post best for the Virgin Atlantic Credit Card forum, rather than the Flying Club forum. That said, on the whole, servicing the card isn’t the best – the app is pretty broken, but I too like it for collecting VS Points when somewhere doesn’t take AX.
Have you tried an incognito window, or another browser? If that doesn’t work, maybe call Virgin Money.

I tried phoning and after about 10 different menus they cut me off. Clearly they don’t want the business. If only another credit card did Virgin points other than Amex.

They aren’t too interested at the moment given that a new provider will need to be found for the Virgin Atlantic cards once the Nationwide deal completes.
Yonder might be your best bet, but I have no personal experience of them – and, in the same way that you earn MR with Amex, you earn whatever Yonder points are called. On the one hand, this gives you flexibility, but on the other, if you think there is more risk of Yonder going bust that VML, there is more risk in maintaining a balance of Yonder points.
