Just checking I have this right….
My card anniversary date is June 17th, if I take option to upgrade free card to paid card now I will be charged the 160 fee straight away.
So then after June 17th I will then be charged another 160 ?
Seems an expensive way to get a few k points together…. wish I hadn’t cashed them in for wine etc now
Edit – I realise applying for the paid card separately would gain more points, but my circumstances are different, doubt whether would be accepted.
Yes, you will pay twice, once now, once at card anniversary.
But they will also backtrack any extra Virgin points that you would have earned on the paid card since your last anniversary. So, if you used your card a lot over the last few months it could be worth it to upgrade now.
