Normally when travel with OH it’s south end of terminal, top of first escalator and turn left which works well. I’m gold and she’s bronze.

This time we’re travelling WTP with two blue card holders but I bought all the tickets. Now moved from T3 to T5 so that takes out the Amex lounge in T3!
What lounges if any will we be able to use apart from the PPlaza (we’ve both AmexPlatinum or PPass which is like a zoo and I hate with a passion.

    TIA

As a gold you’ll be able to take one other into the BA club or F lounge.

No idea about any of the commercial lounges.

You won’t all be able to access the BA lounges – it is one guest only.

You should be able to use the Aspire lounge but that seems to be rated lower than Plaza Premium. See here:https://www.headforpoints.com/2023/05/18/uk-airport-lounges-which-can-be-reserved-by-priority-pass/

As a side note, for the ‘normal’ travel, you could use the First Wing with its dedicated security lane which takes you direct to the lounge – unless of course you are not arriving from landside.

Yes will deffo be using first wing but no way Aspire or Plaza so it might have to be Wetherspoons!

What is your aversion to Plaza?
I have found it to be pretty good once you have made it into the lounge, the getting in is the issue for me. There is often a long queue of people arguing that they should get in due to their membership of X when that does not allow entry or staff not fully understanding how to use some memberships.
Once in though, it is perfectly acceptable and never too busy despite the queue outside it in my experience.

Tried it 3 times and never had a great time in there: grumpy staff, stale sarnies, unappetising food and tables not regularly cleared. Last time there was a hen party making more noise than the nearby pub and getting louder and more leary with every glass of pop. Apart from that it’s wonderful 🙂
