Afternoon all,
Recently took a trip to Singapore from Newcastle using a 241 voucher and 115k with a tax bill of £600. The Newcastle flight was delayed an hour so missed my flight to Singapore. I was rebooked onto a Singapore airlines flight the following day in business class – a massive upgrade to BA’s garbage.
I made a claim online and finally received a response today for £520 compensation.
Can I ask for my Avios back instead?
No, you can’t
The 520 is because of your delayed arrival under uk261
You could use the 520 to buy or boost more avios if required
Ps nice upgrade
