Forums Frequent flyer programs British Airways Executive Club The sense of relief …. when you see you are flying from the B gates

Flying from the B gates this morning for the first time in a while. I had forgotten how much quieter the galleries lounge is vs the 2 main ones!

Even if you are flying from A gates it’s only a short walk back from the lounge at B gates.

I like the 5B lounge but I always think when it is busy, it feels overwhelmingly so. Overall I like the south lounge best, even at 4/5 capacity (as per the screens) on Monday I still had no problem grabbing a seat in my favoured spot (the ‘padded room’ :D)

When I went to Canada last year, I had a bit longer than expected at Heathrow, and the B gates lounge was so peaceful

I quite happily sat there relaxing after a chaotic trip to the airport eating ice cream!

South lounge was surprisingly quiet last night! I just avoid North that is the one that always seems busy

If I arrive in Terminal 5B and my connection is also from 5B, lets say gate has been allocated already, does one have to take the “Automated People Mover” to 5A or is it possible to stay in the 5B building?

There is a connections security there which may or not be open, if it is there is a screen showing the flights they’re accepting. Otherwise you do have to proceed via the main building flight connections

It used to be even better when you could get a spa treatment in there!
