Finishing off a USA trip from Dublin, booked in club, return leg LHR-DUB is one-class Are Lingus metal, have we reached a harmonised point yet on tier points with aer lingus? I know transatlantic were supposed to be tier point earners now, not sure about LON-DUB. Booking page doesn’t show actual fare class just results from search for ‘business class’ flights, so possibly somewhere between none and 40?
No Aer Lingus flights earn BA TP yet.
8 months after the announcement and still nothing has happened apart from a web page that said they did for a few days before it was pulled
It’s a mess. It was semi-announced, the numbers appeared on ba.com for a short period …. then they went again.
Credit to Aer Club – at least you get Avios this way (cheap business tickets don’t earn Avios in BAEC either).
Thanks, not really an issue, just contemplating how many more I’ll need to keep silver. It’s a cheap DUB fare, booking says it will earn 420 TP, which I can only make work if we get 60TP for a domestic AA leg which is stated as first class, so 60, not the 40 TP for the first connection which is on alaskan. Curiously I will earn 25,741 Avios, and my wife 22,555. Perhaps she’s getting a short cut?

This is not correct, if I book my regular LHR to Cork flight on Aer Lingus metal via BA, I get 15 tier points, and did so last month. It is usually more expensive and you need to ring Aer Lingus to change your seat (my friend says this has changed and the app can do this not, but I’ve not seen it) but if you need a few TP, it’s an option. I think the OP will get some Tier Points – if it is not 40, then I’d request some Original Routing Credit

Well according to this – https://www.britishairways.com/travel/flight-calculator/public/en_gb it’s still zero. So if you’re getting them it’s either an error and stay quiet, or they’ve begun the changes and not updated the website.
As with different people getting different amounts of Avios on the same booking and same flights, YMMV is always the answer with BA.

I don’t think you are using the calculator correctly. If you book it via BA, it counts as a BA flight with a BA Flight number, so you put in BA ORK LHR (not EI) and those are the Avios and tier points you get. Admittedly, you don’t get the all the status perks and I am never 100% sure what I am entitled to (priority boarding, hand luggage allowance etc) so I usually just book direct – especially if Aerspace is a good price.
As the OP says they were booked in Club, I am assuming they have booked via BA, have a BA flight number and should get BA avios and TP. Therefore if their London Dublin leg doesn’t credit correctly, they should go to BA and file for ORC. If they have booked it via Aer Lingus (as you and Rob assume) then ye are right -Aer Club is the best bet.
Booked with BA, ticketing shows BA flight number, operated by Aer Lingus, economy class.
You’ll get TP and avios for a BA economy flight then – for flights with BA numbers you can ignore which airline is actually operating the flight.

Yep! If it was three days ago, it should credit very soon
