My recent shanghai flights were cancelled and VAA rebooked my flights with BA. Luckily tier points were credited to my BA account. However, I am missing 100 points with Virgin to retain Silver because of this rebooking. Is it possible to request Virgin to award me the missed tier points so that I can retain silver? By doing so would they request BA to remove the tier points that I have received with BA?
Thank you for any responses!
Yes – you can. Call Flying Club and chat it through. They are usually amenable.
Don’t mention that you earned on BA – just ignore that part entirely. It’s nothing to do with VS.
You should probably ask for some extra Virgin Points for the incurred emotional damage of having to fly with BA, too…
