I need 50 tier points to retain status – I’ve booked a CE return to Amsterdam, with the return leg on the day my tier point year ends (June 8). Slightly worried flights needs to be taken BEFORE the deadline to count towards the previous year (i.e by June 7) or will this be fine?
This is such a common question.
Collection years end on the 8th of the month and any flights taken that day will be applied to that year even though they won’t post for a couple of days,
If your return flight departs on June 8th you’ll be fine and TPS should then be credited based on travel date.
You’re fine. Up to midnight on the 8th old year, new year is 9th. They may not post for a couple of days, but will post into the correct year.
