Perhaps I have a weird quirk on my account, but I always thought avois bookings didn’t get you any TPs with BA. However a recent BA First trip using the 2-4-1 voucher has posted full Avios and TPs on both mine and my wife’s accounts. Is that meant to happen!?
No so sush!
It sometimes happens if there has been a rebooking but it’s not guaranteed and you can get them on the outbound but not the return and vice versa.
Best to say nothing!
And second rule is stop commenting so the thread disappears 😂
I think it’s naive to assume BA are unaware. Given the status extensions and the way double TP have been promoted, it may be something they’re not entirely unhappy about. They’ve clearly been through a period of making status easier to achieve and retain, how long or if that continues who knows.
It’s been happening for years. Usually when a reward flight is cancelled and rebooked onto a flight with no reward seats available due to the rebooking regulations and the rebooking are put into a revenue fare code bucket.
It’s just that with the huge numbers of rebookings due to the pandemic cancellations the numbers have increased markedly.
And it is variable. robs daughter is apparently a beneficiary whereas Rob didn’t benefit even though they were on the same ticket,
Preciously it’s likely not been worth the cost of fixing.
It maybe on the list of bugs to fix the team of 200 are apparently working on.
