I have flights booked from Man to Lhr then Lhr to Mco.
Originally the flights arrived into LHR terminal 5 and departed also from terminal 5. I have in theory 1 hour 40 minutes between arrival and departure at Heathrow so wasn’t worried as it’s all within same terminal.
Just now had an email to say the Lhr – Mco flight now departs from Terminal 3.
So can anyone tell me if I have anything to worry about ? Assuming I do have 1hr 40 mins is that plenty enough time to get out of T5, over to T3 and I assume having to do security checks at T3 and get to a random gate before my international flight departs from T3 ?
I appreciate I have to assume flights are on time so on that assumption has anyone got real life experience to tell me if I need to worry or not ? Thanks in advance
it’s an annoying alteration but it’s perfectly doable, the buses run frequently
T3 -T3 minimum connection time is 90 minutes but that’s more for what the airlines and airport are willing to commit to in terms of transferring luggage and offering connections onto other flights etc.
The vast majority of people do it in far less time than that and if available to you yiu . may even get some lounge time.
Keep an eye on your MAN flight – if it’s delayed make sure cabin crew are aware you’ve got to transfer to T3, they should let you disembark first – last time this happened on a MAN-LHR flight I was on they put on a bus to get pax over to T3 for their connections.
