I see the excellent £350 off £700 spend offer with United is back – remind me this is spend by the end date, but you can fly anytime? I don’t see any flight dates restrictions in the rules.
I have used this before, and a word of caution, stuff like seat selection etc does not count towards the spend.
TIA
Pleased to see this offer appear again on my Platinum and on my wife’s gold. Especially as I was able to take advantage of it previously in June when this was last offered.
Effectively the statement credit works out to giving you the benefit of travelling Premium Economy to the USA for the price of Economy. Our United flights last time were a mixed bag, with great service heading out to the US and mediocre on the way back and pretty dire food choices.
If you book a flight and cancel it after 24 hours do you get the full amount as a credit voucher? 😁

WHat you wouldn’t get is the £350 credit from Amex.
Here are a few questions for those who have used this offer before:
1. Is it possible to start the journey in the UK and finish somewhere in the EU?
2. Does the entire trip need to be on United Airlines (UA) metal?
3. Can I depart from Manchester (MAN) on Swiss (LX) or Lufthansa (LH), and then connect to a UA flight in Europe?I have just been on the Amex live chat and asked about the eligibility of codeshare flights (eg. MAN-MUC-CLT & BHX-FRA-AUS) under this offer.
The agent just said that so long as you book via the united site – https://www.united.com/en-gb/flights – it will trigger the offer.
I gave a specific example involving only Lufthansa flights and they said:
“As soon as charge is made using this link and flight is departing from UK Airport, it will be eligible. There is no such terms about codeshare flight, so it is fine”I think to play it safe, make sure the flights are on the United codeshare?
Just in case it’s useful to others, I booked 4 days ago for a flight from Edinburgh to Panama (with flights on Air Canada metal on the way), and then back from Costa Rica to London. 3 days ago I got the email confirming I’d used my United Airlines offer, and the statement credit is showing on my account.
Yes, I’m flying in Economy, but checked luggage is included, and for £500 during the school holidays I’ll make do.
Can I use this to book flights for a friend?
