Can anyone help me work out the best value usage of a Credit Card voucher for three people. Most likely flying economy or maybe PE. I know it has a value of 75k for non status pax, but I think I can only use those miles towards a companion or upgrade?
It’s not like I could book three Y returns at 30k miles each and the voucher would cover 75k of the miles? It would only cover the companion milage cost. Is that right?
I didn’t think Virgin PE offers much value, so I redeemed them in Y for three of us.
As the name suggests, it covers the companion. So you pay taxes for 3, but miles for 2.
If not, you may end up buying cash tix for Pax 3, if your miles pot wouldn’t cover three of you. So, you may end up with very little savings. So, it’d be advisable to do the maths carefully — some airlines in Y may fly three of you cheaper.
yes its “upto 75k” so only worth 30k for 3 PE seats at 30k so not great value
Remember that it can also be used as an upgrade voucher from economy to UC and can also be used to upgrade 2 persons one way.
Best value depends on the actual flights and prices of tickets
