I would certainly not consider putting my pension anywhere near them. 125,000 Virgin points can be purchased for just over £1,000 at the moment. That is not the sort of risk that appeals.
The low cost SIPP providers like ii also offer decent transfer bonuses from time to time (I have seen and benefitted from up to ~1%) so you would be much better to wait for one of those and then spend the bonus on Virgin points if that’s what you want.
