Have done 3 x Virgin Cruises in past three years at 90,000, 80,000 and last year 160,000 points. Was hoping for another but looking at the latest offers on Virgin Red I would imagine a 7 day cruise from Barcelona (not many this year) could be close to 250,000 points or. bit more.

There is a 5 night from Lisbon at 200,000 points with other med cruises 300,000 to 400,000 points.

We have around 725,000 Virgin Points so we might cash in with two cruises this year.

Any thoughts. Looking at the cash value for a VirginPoint it looks around 1p per point redemption.

    Any views on this.

    Thanks, Howard

I think the value is quite a bit lower than that. You can get the med cruises for around £2k, particularly if you use a MNVV. Most travel agents will be able to provide one of these. And if you do this you will get bar tab and onboard credit.

Even if you dont use an mnvv, you would still also get a couple of hundred bucks in credit, bringing down the value of the redemption further.

That said, if you have the points, its a fun way to spend them!
