Forums Frequent flyer programs Virgin Flying Club Virgin Gold – child clubhouse access, Econ Light baggage

So with an economy ticket would a child (under 3) have clubhouse access along with me (gold) and my partner, or would that be down to discretion?
And – if I got an econ light ticket, would I and my partner still have a checked bag?

Someone posted recently that they called and it was fine to use the upper class wing their family

Lounge will be at discretion . You’d think a under 3 would be fine especially if it isn’t too busy

Luggage is only for the member but you will get seat selection in economy for everyone in the booking

Whilst it is at discretion, and you are likely to be let in with your child, airlines usually define an infant as aged two or below. VS, from memory, defines an infant as someone aged two or below for the purposes of ticketing. I imagine that this extends across to the Clubhouse, too.

Call the Gold line and if you get an amenable agent, they can drop a note on your PNR which the Clubhouse can see.

Thank you! Also – do children (with a seat) earn points on their bookings / is there a way to confirm how much they will earn? Might decide whether I go for econ delight or not…
