On my BAPP I went to apply for a credit limit increase and the first thing they asked is to update your latest salary. The box was pre filled with £2.3m or something ridiculous and it said it was updated in July 2022.
The only time I would’ve supplied a salary was when I signed up and that was not in July 22. I also supplied my salary when applying for the Platinum card this January.
For that reason I backed out as I recall the thread on here where someone was shut down due to circumstances possibly changing. Sadly, my salary is definitely nowhere near £2.3m. What should I do? I don’t need the credit increase that much but now I’m concerned they have the totally wrong details for me and when/if I do have to update my salary they’ll close my cards if it looks like I lied previously.
I’m pretty baffled as to why this has happened.
I’d update it with what your current salary is anyway as Amex plainly has incorrect information and if you do nothing that may be worse than informing Amex the correct figure.
I’d update it with what your current salary is anyway
…But only if that’s over the new minimum….
So just quoting the average salary of Rob’s readership then? Supposedly.
