Early flight out in March and Airport too far to drive in the am.
Any thoughts on best hotel airport to use? I’ve Hilton/IHG points but happy to pay cash if needs be. There dosn’t appear to be a hotel linked directly to the airport.
TIA
No, there’s nothing directly attached to airport terminal.
Doubletree Hilton, Hampton by Hilton and Moxy are all about 5-10 mins walk and easily doable. Stayed in both Hilton’s and they are ok, not used Moxy.
Holiday Inn is a 5 bus ride away (a bus from one of the car parks call ‘on request’), it’s also Ok.

Thats great TY
Might be useful to know that:-
The Marriott on Glasgow Road is a few minutes walk to Gyle Tram or Edinburgh Gateway Tram/Railway stations, and Airlink stops outside.
Ibis is opposite Gyle tram station.
Novotel and Premier Inn are at Edinburgh Park Tram/Railway stations. So are all about 10 minutes away by Tram.
How early and how important is budget? The Ibis Budget opposite Gyle Street or Premier Inn Edinburgh Park are both fine to crash for the night (if price is the same, the Premier Inn has bigger rooms). If you won’t be too pushed for time in the morning, the Voco Haymarket is near the bus and tram links from haymarket (so will take longer to get in), but nicer hotel and often well-priced; rooms aren’t massive, but a nice location for an evening and some of the higher rooms have great views.

Not sure tram drivers will be awake for a 4.30 check in but thanks for the input
There’s no perfect solution to this but in order of ease of access it is Hampton then Moxy then Doubletree.
It’s yet another area where Edinburgh Airport is poor in that you could have to walk for a few minutes in the pi$$ing and possibly near freezing rain, bundling yourself and luggage around roundabouts in the dark.
If it is a short trip then there could be some mileage staying five or ten minutes drive away and paying for the multi story car park (includes fast track) which has direct access to security (great if hand luggage only) There is currently a 20% code which would improve their pricing.
