As I cannot recall reading much about flydubai on here I thought I would share my current experience in case it is of use to anyone. In order to maximise my last day in Male I look for late departure times on my final day and this airline fitted the bill. Having given up 1A with apparent grace so that an elderly couple could sit together, I was sat in row 2 which turned out to be a throne seat. It was spacious and comfortable and the lie flat bed afforded plenty of sleep. If food and drink are important to you this is definitely not your airline but it was all very efficient and excellent value.
Am now in the functional, clean, unexciting but extremely quiet lounge @ T2 which is a 50 second walk after security and 30 seconds away from gate F12, their dedicated business gate.Interesting – planning a MLE trip next year and I didn’t realise this could be an option. Good to know, given the scarcity of avios seats.
How much did you pay, if I may ask?!Of course you may! It was $860 MLE-DUB-IST where I needed to be today. It was seamless – dedicated business gate with refreshments provided whilst economy passengers were boarding, dedicated business bus to and from the plane. I was very pleasantly surprised and impressed.
What were the temps of the cabin like? I heard from friends who live in Dubai, and use FlyDubai a bit that the temps are baltic and FD charge to hand out blankets etc. Almost using it as an opportunity to make money. Would be interested to hear another take…

Most of us were in holiday clothing; it was a “normal” temperature which I didn`t notice to be honest and blankets were given out to those who wished to sleep.
Flew FlyDubai yesterday CMB-MLE, admittedly only a short flight in economy, but temperature was warm and those horrid B737Max air vents (look like dim sum things, not old fashioned nozzles) are pretty useless anyway. So used a 5” dia USB fan to get some breeze 🙂
