It seems that Club Carlson is giving away a Christmas gift to anyone whose Club Carlson account has seen any activity in 2014. I received a 10,000 point gift and I have only done one stay this year – and that was a redemption! Given that I value Club Carlson points at 0.5p, that is a £50 Christmas present.

I tried it on a few family accounts where there has been zero activity in 2014 and none of them qualified, but if you have managed even one stay (cash or points) I would certainly check to see if you are due anything.
