TODAY – Sunday – is the last day to sign up, for FREE, to cashback site TopCashback and earn yourself 2,400 Avios points or 2,500 Virgin Flying Club miles.

To celebrate the offical launch of Shopper Points (,  the new sister site to HfP which focusses on Tesco Clubcard and Nectar with no distracting frequent flyer talk, we have an exclusive sign-up offer with TopCashback.  The deal has been running across both Shopper Points and Head for Points this week and will close tonight.

TopCashback 350

TopCashback is a site which allows you to earn a small amount of cashback on your day to day shopping by clicking through to participating merchants.

Until midnight tonight, you will receive 1,000 Clubcard points – convertible into 2,400 Avios or 2,500 Virgin Flying Club miles – when you sign up for free and earn just £10 in cashback.

TopCashback works with many major internet retailers and pays you a small commission for every purchase you make after clicking through to their site.  If you currently use Quidco or another shopping rewards site, you should consider moving across to TopCashback instead.

Earn 1,000 Clubcard points for signing up – and convert your cashback to Clubcard too

What makes TopCashback unique among cashback sites is that it allows you to pay your cashback directly into your Tesco Clubcard account.

This dramatically increases the value of TopCashback cashback versus a site such as Quidco:

£10 of cashback earned at Quidco earns you £10

£10 of cashback earned at TopCashback earns you £10 paid into your Tesco Clubcard account. This gives you 1,000 Clubcard points. These are worth 2,400 Avios or 2,500 Virgin miles.

You can transfer up to £50 of cashback per year from TopCashback to Clubcard (a year runs from the date of your first Tesco transfer, not the calendar year or from the date you joined). This means that you can earn up to 12,000 Avios points per year this way.

Once you hit the £50 annual cap on conversions to Clubcard, you can either take your earnings as cash or hold them back until your membership anniversary comes around and the £50 cap resets to zero.

How to join TopCashback

To receive the 1,000 Tesco Clubcard points for signing up, you MUST use this link here (click).

This offer cannot be combined with the standard TopCashback refer-a-friend offer.  You must use the link above to join.

There is no time limit on how long you have to earn your £10 cashback – a month, three months, six months, whatever. You therefore have little to lose, if you are not already a member, by signing up now.

There are two membership levels at TopCashback – a free version and a £5 annual fee version. The £5 level pays slightly higher cashback and has improved customer service if you have any problems. However, you will receive the 1,000 Clubcard points whichever level you choose. To be honest, I would start at the free level and only upgrade when you have decided that you like the site.

What next?

If you are not already a TopCashback member, you should open a TopCashback account now and use it for your day-to-day online shopping instead of Quidco.

If you are already a member, why not refer your partner – as long as they have their own Clubcard account?  In fact, you should encourage every adult member of your family to sign-up.

You may want to take a look at some of ‘easy money’ offers on TopCashback, or even their ‘free money’ offers. If you know what you are doing, some of the gambling and bingo sites offer effectively free money for signing up and betting a small minimum. You can minimise losses by having your partner sign up and then taking opposite win/lose bets on the same sporting event.

My verdict

TopCashback has run various sign-up bonuses over the last couple of years where they have offered Clubcard points.  However, they have never offered a bonus bigger than this one.  This is as good a time as any to join if you haven’t got around to it yet.

The link to sign up – for free – is here.  The offer will end at midnight today, Sunday.

  • Save East Coast Rewards says:

This is indeed a great offer. Even for the non frequent flyers on Shopper Points getting £10 of Clubcard points for little effort is decent, also if the redspottedhanky deal is still running it can be used as £10 towards train travel.

There’s currently a 30% off offer running on Virgin Trains East Coast tickets (beware many dates are excluded) – see here:

For the west coast there’s a deal on Virgin Trains west coast for 20% off through the Virgin Red app (iOS and now also Android).
