News in brief:

3,600 Avios with £75 LEGO City spend

Tesco Direct has launched a fantastic new LEGO deal.

As you can see here, you will will earn 1,500 bonus Clubcard points (worth 3,600 Avios or 3,750 Virgin Flying Club miles) if you spend £75 on LEGO City products by Monday night.

With Christmas getting ever closer, this could be a good time to stock up.

The Sunday Times Travel Magazine £30 code working again

The confusing on-going saga of The Sunday Times Travel Magazine Avios subscription promotion continues.

I won’t go into it all again although the latest developments were discussed here.

Yesterday I was told by two people that telephone agents are telling callers that the promotion is now totally cancelled, despite being featured across two pages of the current issue.  However, the good news is that – at least as at 10pm last night – the old code of STTM0916 is working again.  This will get you a 12-month subscription and 4,500 Avios for £30.

The link to subscribe is here.  I would jump in quickly if you are interested.

  • Adey says:

Being late to the party, I just subscribed with the code (which wasn’t rejected).

The web site is a little misleading (this probably covered in the previous article). The entire transaction takes place on the page where you enter your card details and is headed ‘Step 1 of 2’. Silly me expected ‘Step 2 of 2’ to allow me to enter my BA avois account details and final confirmation…. NO, ‘Step 2 of 2′ is “Order Complete’ with no facility to enter BA details.

  • Roger says:

Already received my Avios, I know T&Cs state that only one award of miles, but has any one applied recently (after change in T&Cs) and managed to get the Avios?

    • Scallder says:

I did one before the change (to BAEC) and one after (to Avios.com) and got both

  • Go says:

Applied using the old code this morning and it worked.

  • Karen says:

Ordered 2 mths ago and have received magazine – funds taken from my account 30 days ago but still no Avios points. Have contacted them and am waiting a response!

  • Jonathan says:

Thanks, the Sunday Times Travel Magazine offer worked for me this morning with that code (STTM0916)

    • Jeff says:

You got to enter your BAEC number…where?

The first poster (here) didn’t appear to?

      • Genghis says:

        1) enter promo code
        2) click submit
        3) select DD or CC option
        4) Click add to basket
        5) on the next page select the issue start date then click check out
        6) on the next page second box down you’ll see ‘Select your reward scheme’. If you don’t see it you’ve gone wrong somewhere along the line and should restart.

  • graham says:

    STTM0916 not valid for me?

  • Anita says:

Thanks for the tip off, I rec’d an email from Customer Services only yesterday to say the promotion had finished, but tried again this morning on your advice and hey presto! I’ve renewed our subscription for another year, entered my BA membership number and got confirmation Avios will be awarded within 28 days – so fingers crossed…

  • Pid says:

Code seemed to work and was able to enter my BA number. Immediately received an email stating that I would receive an email confirmation of my order within 24hrs. So fingers crossed. They do not reject it if the code worked by mistake.

    • Martin says:

Code STTM0916 just worked for me – you see the details of the offer in your Basket before going to the Checkout stage – it clearly says “Get 4,500 Avios when you subscribe”.
As Pid says, received an immediate email stating order will be confirmed within 24 hours. Also crossing fingers!
