As I originally wrote on Saturday, IHG Rewards Club (the Holiday Inn, HI Express, Crowne Plaza, InterContinental etc group) will release a new list of PointBreaks redemptions this afternoon.

These rooms are a fantastic deal.

All of the 129 hotels below will be available for just 5,000 IHG Rewards Club points per night from Monday, saving up to 25,000 points per night in some cases.

Hotel Indigo Krakow

PointBreaks availability is very limited so book ASAP if you are interested, as soon as bookings open up on Monday. Bookings are refundable as with a standard reward reservation so there is nothing to lose.  IHG works on US time so I would not expect the offer to be available until mid-afternoon in the UK.

You can book via the IHG PointBreaks page here or via the standard booking page here.  If the PointBreaks page has not yet been updated, it does not necessarily mean that the special deals below will not already be bookable – do a search on the hotel you want to check.

You will be able to book these hotels for dates up to 30th April.

You allowed a maximum of two bookings per individual hotel. Each booking can be for as many nights as you want.

Remember that if you attempt to amend your booking later by dropping a night or two the whole booking will reprice at the full rate.

This list is, frankly, not great.  My personal favourite is the Hotel Indigo in Krakow (photo above) which is brand new and has a great position in the old town.  If I had to pick one, I’d go for that.  The Crowne Plaza in Bratislava also looks interesting.

However, as I always say, the world doesn’t work like that.  We all have our individual travel schedules for the next three months and – if any of these hotels prove suitable for your itinerary – you’ve got a great deal.

    Off topic and a bit more than 5000 points a night.

    I need 4 nights in an IHG property on may bank holiday. My options are as follows;

    Intercontinental Times Square – 60k/ night
    Intercontinental Barclay- 60k/ night
    Crowne plaza Times Square 50k/ night
    Statehood suites 40k/night (includes happy hour and a breakfast)

    I have been to New York many times , and know the location of each hotel, each one is fine . Does anyone have any ideas on to which would be the best option in terms of service and room. I’m a spire elite ambassador. And need a room with 2 x king or 2 x queen .

    From experience will any of them give me lounge access , breakfast , upgrades due to status?

      You will get an upgrade to a higher floor at the IC NYTS nothing else. Room will be an ok size but as Rob has said many times it’s a bed factory.

        Rooms are very smart, to be fair. There is just literally nothing to do in the hotel – no bar, no real lobby, no lounge area, no club lounge, no pool. Your house probably has more lobby space!

          Just to counter this, they now have opened the ‘Stinger’ cocktail bar just off the lobby which is a decent enough hotel-type cocktail bar (and indeed you are fine to sit there without ordering drinks). We were there over thanksgiving and enjoyed the stay. Upgraded to a sky view corner room as a Spire Ambassador. Would happily stay again.

            I’ve stayed at CP twice as a Platinum member. First time upgraded to use Club Lounge, second time got a room upgrade to corner room only (I think the lounge may now be closed anyway).

            We liked the (large) rooms and enjoyed the atmosphere in the bar which has good views of Broadway. I’d stay again if in NY.

    I made a cash and points reservation for the first time over a week ago. I understood that the $40 cost of the points would be charged immediately but still no sign of it on my credit card transactions. How long does it usually take? Thanks.

    The transaction takes place in the USA, so will always take a few days to show, but I would have expected it within a week.

    Perhaps it has fallen foul of ‘America First’

    O/T, but IHG related. I’ve tried to check my Accelerate progress a number of times in the last few days, and keep getting a message that they are experiencing technical difficulties. Is anyone else having the same issue, and any idea when it will be resolved?

      Same here Neil, and has been for around a week now. I have seen this mentioned by others in threads across the last week or so, so you are not alone.

      No idea on potential resolution of this problem, I would have thought this would have been given priority, as you cannot track your progress on accelerate otherwise. This sort of defeats the point of the promotion..

        Mine is showing the technical difficulties also but across the top it shows I have completed 3 of 6 tasks and got 10k so far so and that’s from a weekend stay on 20/1 so that has updated at least – points haven’t arrived yet but should do soon

            Identical here, except my stay was on 19 Jan.

            On my partner’s account, we stayed on 23 Jan and it only shows 1 of 6 completed.

            Amusingly, I am told that I have stayed for 3 000 nights out of a possible 41 000 nights. Wow!!

            My hubby’s account is just a basic club account – we did one stay last year for the bonus points but it left us with an odd 749 pts. I only really use his account to buy an allocation of pts when 100% bonus. I joined the IHG survey opinions when it was offered and am slowly working my way up to a round 100k – only 50 pts left to get so one more survey should do it. I also emailed IHG and asked them for 1 pt to round off the odd 9 which they did! Also helps keep the account active.

          The top banner isn’t really of much use to me, if you need to see progress within each target to see if relevant stays are accumulating this doesn’t help. Equally I have no idea of which of the target offers I have reached just a total.

      Not if they count it the same way as the last quarter. I almost got caught out with a stay on 15/12 which would not have counted. I think this was new because I seem to recall staying the night of expiry dates previously without issue. You should be able to work it out though from the counter on accelerate page.
