Get extra discounts with BA Holidays sale bookings this weekend

Links on Head for Points may support the site by paying a commission.  See here for all partner links.

BA Holidays is offering extra discounts this weekend if you book a ‘flight and hotel’ or ‘flight and car’ package in the current British Airways sale.

These packages can often be great value for money.  British Airways increasingly appears to be using these packages as a way of selling excess flight availability to the leisure market without having to cut the headline prices of the flights themselves.

Here are the restrictions for these additional discounts:

Booking dates: 29th June – 4th July 2017

Travel dates: 29th June to 30 June 2018

And here are the discounts:

Flight & hotel packages

£50 extra discount to any destination for bookings with a minimum spend of £1,250

£100 extra discount to any destination for bookings with a minimum spend of £2,500

Flight & car packages

£25 extra discount to any destination for bookings with a minimum spend of £600

£50 extra discount to any destination for bookings with a minimum spend of £1,250

£100 extra discount to any destination for bookings with a minimum spend of £2,500

The main British Airways sale continues until 11th July.

I wrote a long analysis on the best deals here so I won’t repeat myself.

In general the deals are not as good as we have seen in other recent sales, with only Kingston and Punta Cana – at under £1,200 – offering stand-out value.

For two people travelling, the current SWISS sale from London – bookable until 3rd July – offers some fantastic 2-4-1 deals as I discussed here and is well worth exploring.

Offer came out a while ago and am fairly sure it was covered on here.

  • john says:

Sorry to OT here… Can you still earn avios in anyway on Eurostar I know you can book holidays on lastminute.com, any other way?

    • Rob says:

      No, don’t think so

    • Genghis says:

Look into Eurostar Frequent Traveller though (get an account through Amex MR if needed). It works well for me.

    • Nick M says:

Make sure to check Amex offers too – I think I have £20 off £60 on pretty much every card I hold at the moment

  • Chris says:

Is there a way to chose RSW as airport an Hotels in Naples. I only get TPA or FLL as airports when choosing Naples.
I can do it when I customise my trip, but then there’s no extra discount on it.
