I have been sent, under embargo, some big news about changes to one of the major hotel loyalty schemes.

It isn’t the end of the world, by any means, but if you pop back after 1.01pm today (Monday) you will discover some changes to one of the major programmes.  And, for many of you, you won’t like them much, although it isn’t all bad news.

Following our IT revamp we have aggressive cacheing in place. Most of what you see is not now served from our servers but is stored either in your browser or with Cloudflare. This means that changes to, say, the home page do not appear even though you click refresh as you are served a cached version.

You are, or the news was? Your PC had probably cached the home page if you didn’t see it at 1.01!

    • Rob says:

Thanks. Someone mentioned that recently but it wasn’t in either of the Locals near us.
