Get tickets for the Goodwood Festival of Speed with your Hilton Honors hotel points

Waldorf Astoria is an official sponsor of the Goodwood Festival of Speed this year, and has made a selection of ticket packages available on the Hilton Auction site for ‘buy it now’.

These are exceptional value, especially for the Saturday and Sunday.

For 25,000 Hilton Honors points, which I value at around £85, you get tickets for two people (Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday) plus access to the trackside Waldorf Astoria viewing platform.

To put this in context, two tickets for the Saturday or Sunday plus grandstand access (which may not be as good a view as the Waldorf Astoria viewing platform) would normally cost £270.  Even on Thursday, the cheapest day, you would normally be paying £122 for two.

The festival runs from Thursday 12th July to Sunday 15th July.  You can redeem your Hilton points via the auction site here.

I would love to go but apparently I will be touring castles in Northern Germany that week, according to my wife ……

Uh oh, when you login online, at what point does it show up on the screen?

O/T – Has anyone else experienced problems using the HfP link for IHG’s 30% off Mastercard weekend rate? I am checking more than 21 days out and e.g. Paris works but London doesn’t (and hasn’t for the last two days). It says an error has occurred and to phone them. Thanks for any insights.

    OT – AVIOS.com :
Has the IT plug been pulled ? Just logged in and can see availability for 5pax domestically with Flybe in Oct 18 ( BHD to EMA return ) and 2pax ( DUB to ACE ) with Aer Lingus in FEB 19 BUT I cannot book same. Tried to transfer from BA – email says successful transfer of Avios but not showing as updated in Avios.com.
Checked BA.com for same flights and neither trip shows any availability using Flybe or Aer Lingus. Only BA and Iberia showing at £ cash prices only – well hacked off….

The first wave of avios.com accounts have been closed. They are doing a chunk every day for the next couple of months I think. What that means for bookings I don’t know.
